How far can a Torqeedo go on one charge?
It depends on the model, battery, boat and speed. At slow cruising speeds, Travel models can cover many miles; at full throttle range drops sharply. The onboard display shows remaining range live.
Do Torqeedo Cruise motors include a battery?
No. Cruise models run from a separate battery bank that you buy and size for your range needs. Travel models have an integrated battery.
Can I use a Torqeedo in salt water?
Yes, Torqeedo motors are designed for fresh and salt water. Rinse with fresh water after saltwater use, as you would any outboard.
Is an electric outboard cheaper to run than gas?
Usually yes. Charging costs little and there is no oil, spark plug or fuel system maintenance. The upfront cost is higher, especially for larger battery banks.
